Once again had the honour to make another vehicle for Trust Ford, this time for a colleague retiring after 48 years service.
Van was 15" long 8" high 6" wide and weighed 5kg.
First carved out of 3 sponge cakes, then a layer of ganache applied, some detail added before covering.
Once covered a full day's work in adding all the detail.

My latest commission is this large Ford Ranger to deliver to Trust Ford Long Marston in Stratford upon Avon.
20" long by 8" wide made from Madeira cake and covered in chocolate ganache and covered in Massa Taccino sugarpaste icing. Lights added for maximum effect and car had a support underneath to raise it off the floor.

I entered the wedding cake category this year for the first time, I designed and made a 4 tier cake designed around an autumn theme using autumnal colours of red and gold, decorated with leaves, berries and roses, with a silhouette of a loving couple. I was delighted to win a bronze for this cake in this category.

I was delighted to receive this bouquet of flowers today, from Jan & Frank for their wedding cake I made them.
Jan sent a message saying "thank you for going that extra mile on our wedding cake".

I was asked to make this bird cage cake, my customer wanted hand painted birds, I set about choosing an image then traced round with greaceproof paper and a pencil, I then traced the image to the cake and set about painting. I used sugarfl air colours and vodka to water down. I painted a branch with leaves and berris, painted white highlights to certain points of birds and branch. Painted roses on the bunting and little white spots.
Hand made roses and filler flowers.
Cake was 10" vanilla bottom tier
8" chocolate orange middle tier and Lemon drizzle top tier (bird cage) this was made using 2 x 6" cakes then carved to acheive a dome shape, finished by a layer of chocolate ganache, before covering using Massa Tacino paste.

I spent a day with Mary Torte at a school in Brighton, I learnt how to make this stunning lady, she stands as 12" tall and is made from Saracino modeling paste.

I had the pleasure to be involved in three collaborations, where cake artists over the world make a sugarcraft item and submit photos. Cake masters awards have chosen 4 collaboration up for an award and one will will, what will it be. I was delighted to be asked to make another car cake for Fords, this time for their store opening in Epsom and they asked me to make a Ford GT as they have been marketing the design concept. The car cake was 8" x 20" and all vanilla sponge cake.

Every year my nephew Ryan is asked what cake he wants for his birthday, yes his reply is dinosaur cake (in my head when I say dinosaur its the voice of George on peppa pig lol) any way! Every year I try to come up with something to top the previous years cake? So I thought how about a dinosaur looking through the gates of jurrassic park, then I thought of just an eye scarily looking through. I made the eye and claw from saracino modeling paste, dusted with sugarfl air dusts mix of green and browns, painted the iris itself with touches of yellow. Gates were made from Renshaws flower/modeling paste and let set for a couple of days, once dry dusted with browns and orange colours. Leaves were made from squires flower paste coloured green then dusted once dry a mix off different greed and hint of brown. Stone wall I made from the flower/modeling paste again and added some stone shelves with flames. Cut out a banner to add his name and age. Once I bakes the cake 8" vanilla, I coversed in green sugarpaste and painted up a camouflage look, added leaves and added all the pieces, glue on with some edible glue. Ryan messaged me and saI'd he loves it ❤❤ makes it all worth while.

2nd time entering and received a bronze. Small decorative exhibit - squirrel in a tree stump, all edible with bracket final, Robin, lady birds, acorns and leaves. Soil is edible made from crushed oreo's. Squirrel and robin made from modeling chocolate.

I was honoured to have been asked to make a transit van and 100 cupcakes for TrustFord of Fords. I made a van from 4 8" square cakes which I carved into the shape then ganached (cake term for chocolate and cream mixture) Once set I covered in sugar paste icing and set about adding all the details. Finished van was 8" wide and 16" long and 8" high on a large board (was very heavy!)
